Are you not thinking of DMT patents? G.Lite is the technology that eliminates the need for a splitter...hence "Splitterless DMT ADSL". The assumption that Amati has a claim here would be premature IMO. Bell Core may have more of a claim then Bell Atlantic being next and ahead of Amati. However, the patent may only deal with the splitterless aspects....leaving the DMT & ADSL patents to fend for themselves on their own turf...not within the splitterless arena. Just my thoughts.
