Never, ever try to explain to your wife (or husband, I'm sure) why somebody else came up with a decision. Especially if you happen to agree with her and are just trying to help her see what logical process led to the other side of the argument. Keep your mouth shut and try something less painful, such as throwing rocks at hornets' nests.
