Gerald, Re: "We turned off the TV"

Yeah, TV content isn't the greatest, other than the Discovery Channel, PBS, etc.

Why even buy one?

I play music on my Dell (which has great speakers) from either one of the Internet radio stations or from a music CD played on the DVD. It has an Intel USB video. I didn't buy a TV-card because I wanted to view "TV" over the Internet (IP live/VOD broadcast), rather than through traditional TV broadcast signals.

The sound card handles voice calls and music simultaneously, so music could play while I'm in a call, or I could turn it off when a vdc call comes in through my PC; it's nice to be able to adjust the volume on the music from the same device.
