<Does anyone actually believe that AMD will execute in the K7 roll-out?? Especially with their many foul-ups the past few years??>

Oh, but this time, things will really be different!

Seriously, the pro-AMD belief is that even if it's a longshot, the rewards of successful execution will be rich.

Or maybe some people are hoping that the MTBS (Mean Time Between Screw-ups) will be long enough for AMD to show a handsome short-term profit.

Tae,

Does anyone actually believe that AMD will execute in the K7 roll-out?? Especially with their many foul-ups the past few years??

They have been truly pathetic. In the past year all they have been able to do is bring the K6 family from 300 up to 500 MHz, introduce two new K6 family cores, add 3DNow, bring up K7 at 600 Mhz, bring up a new fab, take over the majority of the retail market, force Intel way out of their game plan, .....
