Glad he mentioned CMTO but surprised of his pick of AWRE. Me thinks if he did a little more research he would see the problems with g-lite and the conflicts with AWRE and TI over patents.

I'm also surprised that he makes note of the use of cable yet fails to mention the #1 cable ISP, ATHM. Oh well, I guess everybody has their own opinion.

I'll go check the newsstand to see if it's there.

But these more established names do not represent the same margin for growth or return on investment as investing in a relatively young broadband company. Therefore, here are five companies that we think could become the big players in broadband: Aware (nasdaq: AWRE), C-Cube (nasdaq: CUBE), Com21 (nasdaq: CMTO), Terayon (nasdaq: TERN) and Texas Instruments (nyse: TXN).

I have to agree with CMTO and TXN, but I certainly question AWRE and TERN. They're extremely good at leveraging themselves on the marketing front, but I'm not so certain how they'll hold up when the numbers dissipate the smoke.

More later . . .
