It is a pain in the arse but you take prior night's open interest for all expiring poots and calls and solve for the minimum payout to those holding long. It doesn't work all that good anymore since everyone knows about it and guys like me will close out winners prior to expiry so you have to keep recasting the situation every freaking night. But it will give you an indication where hedge sale/buy pressure will come from. And the direction the black helicopter guys want to move it. -vbg- People like to say 85% of options expire worthless - well sure cause many holders have closed out their winners prior to expiry. -g-
