f:I own ORCL and think they have the long-term potential to really be a block-buster..... I think they have the right vision, but like CPQ have been slow to execute. In many ways this company has mirrored CPQ over the past 2 yrs

Hmmmmm, so what does this portend for CPQ if Ray Lane jumps ship at ORCL??? <ggg>

Re TLAB: Well, so far it's held the BO point at 118, but the way things are looking (at least for the first few days) this week, I would definitely want a confirmation day before hopping in.

BTW, I sold my MSFT Friday morning shortly after the open - lost a few bucks on the 500 I'd bought at 88. I don't like the way it's looking - the biggest volume days over the past month have been down days. Friday's volume was up 36% even though volume on the NYSE and NAS were both down. If it breaks 75, it could be in big trouble.

foodedalot,
Thank you for your rundown on the stocks. JCP owns the third largest drug store operation along with their retail stores. There is some talk about J.C.Penny starting a web store. They already have distribution set up due to catalog operations. Interesting play because stock is currently down. My broker advised they could miss numbers this quarter, but he personally likes the company. I think they report this week or next. Fund manager on NBR Friday night also likes the JCP.

Some current theory on consumer e commerce is that established retail players will move into consumer sector and do great business. JCP falls in this area.

I have not done intense research on JCP. Golf season has slowed me down.
