Yaacov, I would like to find a formula to accommodate the Palestinians, too, but I fear that Bibi is the only one who has the flexibility and credibility with hardliners to strike a compromise. I guess we shall see...

I think you're oversimplifying on both counts. Not all Germans supported Hitler. Some died for their opposition. (Dietrich Bonhoeffer (sp?) comes to mind). Which group of people begged their God for a king? Having said that, I know that I too am guilty of generalizing about "the Jews this, and the Jews that." It's just that when someone with a lot of power calls themself "Jewish" yet they hold no apparent regard for the 10 commandments... it looks bad for "all Jews." It's a lot like a "Catholic" who uses birth control... "does not compute." So in the future I will keep it in my mind that not all "Jews" are the same. Have you ever heard the one about, "get two Jews together and get 3 opinions on any given subject...?" <g> I appreciate many of your posts. I think much of your commentary is substantive. Let us challenge ourselves from this moment forth: We should not engage in generalities about any group of people. Shalom, Andy
