Unify MG earnings play: In Friday 5/14/99 Investor's Business Daily Nasdaq Stocks in the News: 5/10/99 PWR another of our picks was featured on "New America" page of the same paper. ...UNIFY which develops e-commerce and data storage software has been consolidating for 13 weeks. The stock rose 1 1/2 to 16 1/4 on double average volume[ed. comment this was Thurs. on 'selloff' Friday it rose an additional 1 1/8]. On Tuesday, the company and Red Hat Software announced a strategic partnership to develop products for the Linux operating system. The tie-up will benefit Unify in the form of a new potential audience. Unify is expected to post an April 1999 fiscal year profit of 45 cents a share. vs a 29 cent loss a year according to first call. UNFY appeared on our Earnings Calendar on Thursday May 6 together with other earnings hits that eventually would hit like CMCSK, DISH, AMFM, GMST, PBY, ACXM, CSCO,FD,WMT,CVC,PER,PMRY and JOINA.. We post our plays 4-10 days before earnings come out.
