Mike:

I was one of the first to study graft-versus-leukemia..... for those with curiosity and access to a good med library, Fed. Proc. 35, 312 (1976), "Inhibition of Leukemia Progression in Rats by the Graft Versus Host Reaction".

That's an abstract. Tons of good and conclusive data, but I never wrote it up. That's one reason why I'm an investor rather than an academic. In a world of "publish or perish", I was always more interested in asking questions than in writing. There are many labels that can be placed on such behavior, but the scientists here at SI will certainly include "dumb" among them. I just punt and lean back on the formal diagnoses from the clinical psychologists.

In any event, I've followed the observations in GvL for over 20 years. If you're interested in the subject, I'd suggest looking at BTRN and the latest results from Megan Sykes. I agree with you.... a means to control the effector cell is needed. But.... for ARIA, the individual components of the process need to be tested before the process itself can be used. That long testing period is the reason that I bailed when the company couldn't deliver as [nearly] promised for osteoporosis. A wreck in slow motion.

Cheers! Rick
