Dell is the premier example of internet commerce success. The question is how successful they will be implementing their strategy of selling diverse products, besides PCs on Dell.com. I am a very happy Dell stockowner and customer and plan to hold my Dell stock long term. However, I'm concerned about the PC business in general as profit margins continue to decline on a product that is increasingly becomming commoditized. Dell made some good moves recently by offering a whole range of non PC products like software, peripheral devices (printers, modems, scanners, etc.) on Dell.com. Also Dell is doing a good job expanding their server business which has substantially great profit margins than PCs. To get my whole portfolio, more analysis on Dell and other market leading tech stocks go to geocities.com.
