Kent - Re: "women who conceive while working in semiconductor factories are 40 to 100 percent more likely to miscarry than other women. "

Aren't these women supposed to be making wafers in these fabs ? Do they have "break times" to go off and "conceive while working in semiconductor factories " ?

Paul

Kent and EVERYONE ... I don't know why you chose to write to ME here and now but you were right in so doing.

I was exposed to several industrial solvents in the early 70s which are common to semiconductor fabs -- including methylene chloride, dimethyl formaamide, and MEKP. Some 30 years later I contracted testicular cancer (VERY rare at that age). Fortunately it was seminoma and 99%+ curable but a life-changing experience none-the-less. First, it scares the hell out of you. Then it takes away your immortality. Then they cut on you. And when you wake up, a good friend is lost forever. And then you hurt in ways I casn describe and they hurt yiu in ways that no man should be made to suffer. And if you are lucky, that's all it takes to survive.

If you are a male under 30, and you don't know how to check yourself for testicular cancer, get a firm grip on things. It is the #1 cause of cancer among young men and it is usually curable but ONLY if caught early. Lose one and it's a pain. But lose both and .. well .. you could always learn to sing soprano parts.

Anyone interested in learning more about this disease should feel free to contact me by private email (I have lots of sources on tap for support, curiosity, and for cures). Anyone interested and qualified to sue the hell out of the bastards who took away a piece of my privates are also welcome to write me privately.

Repeat .. privately. As in privates. As in one down and one to go.

Craig
