Intel making an investment in Cube the dog and taking a stake makes sense. They can provide the cash and ask Cube to port their microcode to StrongArm or pentium chips. Cisco could be interested in Divi the pup. But do they want to get into an entirely different field at this time just because some of what they need Divi has? On the other hand, Cube might announce some significant wins shortly and the activities could be related to that. I don't like them being taken over for a little premium just because Peter has some options that expire next week. On the other hand, Microsoft is all over the cable/telecom/TV world where Cube has wins and I wonder what they are thinking.
