j.g. .... though difficult to make any comparison, I did mean stock options. The point being that their are many skilled people here in California who take a job for the companies stock options policy even though the pay is less than market. That helps cap wage increases in jobs that would be spiralling out of control. I feel comfortable saying that because consulting/contractors wages are growing very quickly here, and the shortage of 'skilled' workers is evident. Frankly, many of the people hired are less 'skilled' than they should be ... but thats another matter ......(GG)
