Craig, First of all. NCT bought the rights to cinemail form Baraka in January of 1999. That post refers to 1997. Secondly, Cinemail does not spam. It is software. People Spam. That would like be blaming Netscape Mail or Eurdora for spamming.

I would suspect that there will be more and more spamming via cinemail once the final release of NCT's newest version comes out in a week or so. For that matter, anyone could go to the site right now, download the meg and a half free trial software and start e-mailing cinemail clips in a matter of minutes. The free trial is a full working version that expires after 15 days. After all, in advertising a picture is worth a thousand words. A low bandwidth, high quality audio/video clip should be worth a lot more.

What cinemail is, is a talking video clip that is easily sent via normal e-mail. That anyone with a camcorder and a video capture card can produce and compress in the amount of time it takes to record the clip.
