Chris: I know that stuff, but the question is how does a CC writer use VIX? Or for that matter, the general concept of volatility? The whole discussion started when I stated that selling naked puts was equivalent to selling covered calls.

In my mind, selling naked puts is straightforward and takes advantage of VIX and volatility, but selling CC is new to me and I thought, from reading the W.I.N.S. procedure, that it's very tricky since there is an inverse correlation...oh well.
