Well bob, I'll try not to repeat myself and still respond to your questions:

Your question:

<From its description it appears to be a good candidate for it, don't
you think?>

My response:

Your question:

<Surely you wouldn't expect EDIG to release news of their device before they do so themselves.>

Well, bob, in August 1998 EDIG (then ncii) announced the Intel deal. We still have not read a news release from Intel about the completion of those prototypes.

In November 1998 (in the SEC proxy filing) we first read about EDIG and Lucent working together. The first press release with Lucent and EDIG in it (about the players) was in February 1999.

In September 1998 there was a press release about “MicroOS Supports IBM's New Microdrive Technology.” EDIG didn't waist anytime putting the thought in our minds about a possible future deal.

So, I would expect EDIG to have released news about the Nomad if they were anywhere close to a deal. After all, the Nomad is already designed.

The only time EDIG held info back, that I am aware of, is when those patents were issued in November 1998 (had been discussed on the thread within days of issuance) but EDIG waited until February to issue a press release. My only guess on why they did that is that they thought that three news releases in one month would take that stock up. I am sure it was just a coincidence that Woody bought or filed to buy 50,000 shares (in December 1998) a few days after the patents were issued. biz.yahoo.com

Months with three or more news releases have worked very well for this stock. There are still a few weeks left in this month.
