Wayne, there are many different methods for playing stocks. If you play them like the roulette wheel and you win consistently then more power to you. Some folks regard them as ownership of a piece of a business. Most of the folks with that frame of mind like to know a thing or two about the business, and most of them like it through a disinterested third party or government filings. I trade symbols every day based on technicals, but I never take home a position if I don't know what a stocks about. That's what works for me.

I don't think I missed the point at all. I think you did.

Every stock is a scam, some played better than others

That's why I wrote about it, Wayne, so "ordinary" investors can see there is a sub-group which is active on the Internet and busy talking about companies like XSNI where there is no firm information. The rest of this thread is about stocks which are not scams and can become decent investments.

Thanks for illustrating my point with all your posts here, the XSNI thread and P's thread. Everyone following this discussion can make up their own mind.

I made a few $K myself on IMON and USRF but I never came out and said anything to encourage anyone to think they were great companies.

And the end of the article contains suggestions on how to trade "Mystery Stocks". You seem to be overlooking that, but then again you have more experience in penny-land.
