JJ, I like Volker, but some of the stuff he said was just nonsense. Our productivity, even if measured the phony way we measure it, is about the same as Europe's and much less than Germany's, and Germany does not have an economic miracle. Also, he mentioned over capacity in other countries. Our mfg. plants are running at as low a utilization rate as those in other industrialized countries, and they aren't having an economic miracle. Nope, the only thing that is different is American corporations and consumers willing to take on huge debt loads that sober countries wouldn't touch and our monetary geeks pushing that drug.
