From the May 4/99 issue: ... "SUBSCRIBER QUESTIONS & ANSWERS I spend a lot of time answering questions via E-Mail from subscribers. This section will summarize relevant questions and answers whenever I feel it appropriate. In some cases, several similar questions are posed and answered on an individual basis. In these cases, the questions and answers are summarized as a combination of all the similar inquiries. Let me know if you find this section beneficial. Question: SUF.t - March 26, 1999 Sudhir, A few months ago I asked you about Southernera. You suggested that WSP was a better buy and that SUF may go down before it goes up. You appear to have been right. What do you think of SUF now? Answer: SUF.t - March 27, 1999 In this industry, you speculate primarily on people. SUF has a good team and I have much respect for Chris. However, with the recent announcements, SUF may be overextending itself and losing some focus. This was my initial reaction to some of the announcements and I expect some of the market felt the same way. I do not believe the downtrend has been reversed. There is good support in the $4.50 range. At this point, I am inclined to wait for the NWT results before making an investment decision. If the NWT results fail to find a diamondiferous pipe, SUF may fall below $4.50. I am looking for this event to add SUF to the portfolio. SUF has been successful in finding deposits in the past. This is where its strength lies. I like the deal with CNB and continue to have hopes for the NWT holdings in the future...." Sincerely, Sudhir Khanna, P.Eng. Editor, The RESOURCE INDICATOR
