do you have a microsoft position now?
taxman, Right now it makes up my number 2 holding well behind AT&T. I have been overweighted AT&T (including Media One) and want to reduce to a reasonable level--hope to be done by this week. Then use the cash to buy MSFT on weakness the next month(might even try July options if the opportunity presents itself).

I held a few leaps for a little while 2001 --80s and 90s. Not going too far out of the money with leaps. This was the only MSFT i had left alone. Had sold all shares at one point.
I started getting back into the shares on Thursday and kept buying until the end of Friday and averaged down my cost. I have reacquired my core MSFT holdings or most of it (15% or so). The risk being out of MSFT was greater than being in it at this price level (as SFD explained).

I am waiting to add more to my core as we get to the start of the trial and/or get more selloffs in the market. Since the government is presenting its witnesses first (as i understand it), the negative news should start early. I just hope the trial does not get delayed beyond the first week of June.
