The site, like many, just exercises a bug in Netscape's HTML rendering. This is nothing new and has nothing to do with copyright. Try using another browser and you will have no problem doing a cut&paste.

What do you mean by your terse, incomplete statement, "The site is entitled to copyright"? Do you mean that the authors of the article are entitled to copyright protection in their work? They would enjoy such protection simply by authoring a sufficiently original expressive work, which their article may be.
If they feel that someone is infringing on their intellectual property, they can act accordingly. But what does that have to do with not being able to cut and paste?
