Well, looks like the broker is bound to follow the "backdoor" theory.

Not a bad thought, however, 1st choice would be that he gets him into the BNBN IPO.

Why buy a backdoor which will see some %-wise rise, especially in the case of Barnes&Noble if the IPOs usually hit between 50% and 300% (broken IPOs forbidden, but BNBN should fare well).

Who is this broker?

The following is going to sound stupid, but I think it may give a new insight with what has been happening with NAVR...

This past Thursday my group at my company had their quarterly meeting and afterwards we had a private party at The Tequila Roadhouse in Chicago. At the party, we had a caracture artist, handwriting personality analyst and a Tarot card reader. I decided to go to the Tarot card reader and see what she would say about me (What the hell, huh?). I am a very skeptical individual when it comes to this stuff and I figured what she would tell me would be the same "fortune cookie" reading that I figured she told everyone else.

Well, I sat down and she asked me to cut the cards three times. She then dealt the cards in some sort of weird cross pattern. The first thing she said was that I was a career driven individual and very focused (Yea that's true, but she could have said this about anyone who is employed.) She then described some personal attributes about myself that were true but again could have applied to many other people in my group. However, the next thing she said really hit a cord. She said that she sees me living "far away near an ocean really soon." She also went on to say that it was a "place that I have been before."

I was in awe when she said this because I had live in Encinitas,CA (10 miles north of San Diego on the ocean)for about a year before coming back to Chicago in Jan 1998. I had loved the area but I worked for a very unethical and deceptive commercial General Contractor. Since I hated my job and I disagreed with the practices of my company, I left the area to come back to Chicago. However, I had made it one of my major goals in my life to find a way to make it back to the area. Essentially, this has been a major motivating factor in my career and my life since Jan 1998.

Now to get back on-topic. She then asked me if there was anything I wanted to know. I asked her how my investments in NAVR was going to do. She then asked me to choose three cards from the deck. I gave her the cards and she turned then over. After looking at them for about 20 seconds, she then turned to me and said that, "management has been very quiet lately because they are about to be acquired." I then asked her would this be somewhat related to the IPO of Netradio. She said that this is independant of the IPO because the cards are saying that the company itself will be acquired. I was also told that I would do very well with NAVR.

I went on to ask her some additional questions regarding relationships, etc. and she was again able to correctly identify some my personal traits and preferences.

Now the question I have for you and everyone else on this thread...

Do you think that could be a possible reason why NAVR has been so slow and hush hush about NETR because they have been in negotiations to be acquired? I have seen on Yahoo and RB that a few people were saying that NAVR was going to be some sort of deal with AOL. But I always take the posts on those boards with a grain of salt. I usually read for entertainment from people fighting back and forth. However, this idea that of NAVR being acquired has really facinated me. In a sense, wouldn't it partially explain the lack of big news? I don't know, I thought I would just bring my experience on Thursday to the table.
