Dell just had an Anal-yst meeting in early April when they were in a position to know how the quarter was shaping up. They were extremely upbeat and told analysts not to revise guidance. IMHO opinion, they want to under promise and over deliver, especially after what happened to the stock after last quarter. All independent data is pointing to a strong performance this quarter. IDC data showing strong, but understated results (due to January's inclusion vs. Dell's April results), the operating results of Gigabuys.com which has probably not been factored into estimates to any great extent, Dell has 2 full months of PIII sales under their belt this quarter and had their highest win rate at 50%+ going into the quarter. So my friend, you decide what is right and what is wrong.
