Sure, there will be a large group of people who aren't going to spend more than $20 for a camera, but just look at the success of ($500-$1000) digital cameras. A couple other examples of people who would see a lot of value in a Clik! digital camera: 1) New parents. Parent love to take pictures of their children, and would take a zillion pictures if they didn't have the inconvience of standard cameras. Many parents will easily justify the up front cost of a digital camera. 2) Real estate people. With the volumes of pictures that they take, and the frequent need to digitize them anyway, it's a natural fit. 3) Medical field. 4) Insurance / Auto Body Repair. Reseller, here's my take on the Clik which I just posted on TMF board. Subject: Re: Clik in stock and selling? TC, I took a short trip to Syracuse yesterday and went into Comp USA. I looked for Clik and didn't find it on the shelves. It is kept behind the counter and two types are available... one for the digcam and the other for the laptop computer. The salesman said sales were slow. Now I think the Clik should be placed adjacent to the digcam display. The Clik needs some advertising as no one knows what it's for except for people on the thread. Bundling as well as including the Clik for digcam must be done. I noted the KODAK and OLYMPUS are bundling the CLIK with one of their digcams as you posted yesterday. IOM is behind the curve with Clik... they put out a wonderful new product and did little to promote it. It's about time IOM management took some responsibility and communicated with shareholders as to their plans re Clik, their advertising goals, where they want to take the co etc. My rating on the new management is "F".
