Well, we are ranked seven on short position:

viwes.com

Another news of a possible take over and the shorts may get squeezed. I guess shorts are the ones keeping this one down.

Can't find the story on the on line edition so I'm going to get the paper. Good story on Knicks too.

Oh baby.
Question to the shorts.

Do ya feel lucky?

Jack-

We really analyzed those stats (April Short interest) when they came out. The stats are number of shares short as of April 15, which is trading day April 12. Between April 12 and the day the stats were released, the stock dropped from 22 or so down to the 13-15 range. So, my opinion is that those guys had already covered (or at least many of them). There are those here who disagree and anticipate a short squeeze in the future.

I wish that there was not such a delay in getting these stats out every month. Today is May 16 so the short interest will be as of the end of business the 14th (since 15th was a Sat), but it will take them 2 weeks to get out the info... short interest would be real nice now because we can see how many folks are still short and whether or not anyone shorted big on Friday when the buyout rumors came out... by 2 weeks from now, the short stats will be nearly useless :-(. Anyone know why they take so long? Why can't they publish short interest every day? There's gotta be an entry in a database for every trade, so getting the short interest is just a matter of running a query on the database, no?
