Your statement show above is very true. Dell is a great company, wish I had started the company. However, many times the performance of the company and the performance of it's stock are two different things. Michael Dell and his team, for the most part, control the company's performance. The stock is usually controlled by the markets. Of course, one can't overlook the inter-relationship of the company and the stock. If management "screws up the company" the stock will surely suffer.
