I do believe it does. Some people can't help but imitate what they see- especially true of the young. I know this because I wanted to be ALexander Mundi when I was 14. I really really did. Don't ask me why. I think it was hormones.

And seeing violence, so much violence, and seeing it presented as normative behavior in the context of so many films HAS to have an affect. I can't watch people writhing in pain, or being hacked to death, without extreme discomfort. It bothers me that this does not bother EVERYONE else. It especially bothers me that so many of the hackees are young women, who are frequently hacked up in sexually provocative situations.
