Danny, are you saying going long is considered an investment, and going short is gambling? Interesting thought.

I haven't seen anyone who hasn't at least doubled his money by going long on internet stocks in the last 12 months.

I agree. And I know many people who have done even better by going long and short internet stocks at the same time and at different times. For example those who long WEBT at current prices in low 30s have reasonable chances to double their money in a short time, and those who short PCLN now have pretty good chances to make 50% in the same time frame. A combination of long WEBT/short PCLN may be a more profitable and safer play.
