PB: Intel has arrangements with WIND on the i960 (I2O) and strongarm (VxWorks) chipsets. A good software company that has hit some recent bumps in the road. WIND also entered into an arrangement with CSCO last fall on switch software for the home market. On WAN Intel has an interest in MRVC (a swich company starting to revive after some missteps) and I believe option to acquire more (but at a much higher price than todays). I'm sure INTC has numerous interests in small switch co's besides MRVC. Disclaimer (I own WIND and may be purchasing some MRVC soon). Tim
