I don't think events there will let it go away - the strange thing about it is that if you can get past the daily horror of the bombing on TV - you actually tend to believe the spin the US and British are putting on this through a compliant media - it's the print journalists who seem to be giving the perspective and the utter futility of this action. As for Iraq, the Americans and British seem to be bombing with accountability to no-one - because the world has lost interest - we're told that they bomb when planes are 'locked in' to Iraq radar - my take on it is that they're trying to destroy Sadaam's military machine - while all of this is going on the sanctions continue and the people of the most advanced Arab country in the middle east in terms of education, health, womens' emancipation, sink into greater degradation and poverty.
