I' ve bee lurking for the past few weeks, done my DD, and like to pick up stocks when they're down and out. Why doesn't NETA fulfill my goal? They still have a viable product line, just bad news after bad news.

Any comments welcome.

I'm still hoping for a rise!

Mark

manny t, AT & Thread:

I'd wait until a few of the uncertainities are resolved.

1) How bad (IMO really bad, since if managment really knew they could have reserved for it and impacted last quarter) is the channel and its impact over the next 2 quarters?
2) How many engineers will leave impacting future product development?
3) How bad is SYMC and CHKP (I own CHKP) beating NETA in market place (seems pretty bad when you consider earnings they reported without stuffing channel)?
4) How much amortization expenses per quarter will have to be recognized under new FASB guidelines (the company should know this)?
5) What will the impact of the shareholder lawsuits be? With the R&D capitalization / goodwill amortization issue and channel issue the company will end up spending time and settling.
6) How will the company grow earnings now that it has lost the currency to acquire companies (that allowed it to be plus to eps in the past)?

You may want to wait for next quarters forward guidance prior to adding to a position here.
