I've never known anyone who played for a takeover and got it. And regarding takeovers recommended (hoped for, prognosticated, importuned for, prayed over, insisted upon, etc.) on internet message boards, I've yet to see a single one occur on any board I've read. Of course, I've only been at it for five years and there are thousands of stocks. However, I've had four stocks that I owned taken over in the past couple of years, and each came as a complete surprise because no poster had even considered such a move. From this you can guess my conclusions about takeovers.
