Tad, I would agree that one learns the jargon even if he knows nothing else. And "helpful" editors can make you look like an idiot and a jerk. I was once asked why a bond fund I managed did so much better than its competitors during a slide in the market. I was selling deep in the money calls against my bonds and answered, "we were doing buy and writes, the other managers were not." The piece came out and read, "we were buying right and the other managers were not." <g>
