When NYRR originally came to the fore, people thought they were going to get the contract from NYC to haul garbage, but instead the contract was awarded to Waste Management to carry it by waterway, rather than by railroad. I'm not sure of any new connection between them that isn't more than a rumor, but I feel certain that within a month or so all rumors will be tested. This is an easy investment to wait on, especially for those who first started buying when it was only six cents per share.

For the old-timers on this thread: It seems J.W. Garnes who used to be such a hostile bully and obscene loud-mouth on this thread is about to be kicked off Raging Bull for being a hostile bully and obscene loud-mouth. Who says there is no justice in America?

OK, so I bought Barron's today, just went through it - there's no article about NYRR that I can see. Must have been a rumor. If anyone has seen it, please let me know.
