Maybe he looked at the S&P500 and sees the YTD gains of computer
companies. DELL ranks 222 out of 500. Looks like neutral to me !

Mohan, apparently the Paine Webber analyst believes that PC unit growth from the US and South America will only increase 10% yoy. I don't know where he gets his numbers from but in Q1 the US market grew 24% yoy. This means he's expecting the 2nd half of the year to have no yoy growth. In my humble estimation he's dead wrong. There is too much controversy regarding the y2k impact and he's guessing that all the spending will occur in the 1st half. He's taking a big gamble with his speculative call!
