hi eileen, yes for me there was a learning curve... i would strongly suggest asking then to set you up on paper trading for a week or so... then you can practice with their 100K...

i was already familiar somewhat with level 2 quotes, but have spent lots of time learning how to interpret the movement, etc... here is a good tutorial tim had recommended... phactor.com

in addition, even if you do papertrade, you will only have one button to push, and in real trading there are five.. you have to know which buttons to use with which stocks... you might want to go ahead and download the abw manual now, and start reading... watleychat.com or chat.ifsi.net (these sites are down right now, i think they are doing system maintenance so may want to try later tonight)

at the chat site click on download, and scroll about halfway down that page, you will see where you can click the button to download ultimate trader manual...

so far i like it very much and would not be able to go back to the discount broker way... you have so much information available to you, that you couldn't see with the discount brokers... at first it's almost too much, it definitely took me some time to get used to it...

good luck!! let me know if you have any other questions... i can try to answer... i still have questions, eileen, and i've been using since 4/26... the phone people are very helpful, too

kathy :)
