Freeflight:

I suggest you re-read the definitions of gorilla-hood ;o) . First of all, there isn't, nor has there ever been, anything but royalty in the pc market.

Oracle was never an ERP gorilla (you must have been thinking of the database market) and I don't believe that a services division/company can become a gorilla because they don't create any discontinuous innovations and don't have propietary technology....

Free, we are not trying to be hard noses about the definition of a "Gorilla", but, we use "absolute" definitions on this thread so that we can all understand what we are all talking about.

You seem like a sharp guy. I really suggest you read the book, like the rest of us have, and then it will be easier to communicate with you. I keep referring to the scene in the Movie, "Cool Hand Luke" over and over.

As Strother Martin said to Paul Newman:

"What we have here is failure to communicate!"
