Mike,

>>I like to see somebody rewarded for hard work, and $5 million would be a nice reward.<<

I agree with you. There's a big part of me that wants to see a Triple Crown Winner and he's a tough gritty type that may get the job done. It's just that the three I saw in my lifetime were monsters. I've also seen the past performances and films of Count Fleet, Citation, and Whirlaway. They were killers, too. Among the losers I saw were Spectacular Bid (who may be the best horse I ever saw - sorry Secretariat), Sunday Silence, Easy Goer, Alydar, Risen Star, and Riva Ridge. Any one of those would have killed the horses going for it over the last three years. The sport in me says you should be "great" to get that title. So I've had mixed emotions for the last 2 and now 3 years.

One thing I am certain about is that the public loves to bet on the horse going for the triple crown. He will be a gigantic underlay so my money will be elsewhere. Same as it was for the last two.
