That "machine" you're referring to is called "nature". And its ruled by the law of instinct (also referred to as "the jungle").

What is trying to be achieved through pursuit of democractic reforms is the law of reason. The law that circumvents and overrules that instinct that tells people that have to kill or be killed, seize control or be controlled, steal or be stolen from, and so on.

Instinct is a tough thing to subdue.

Reason is constantly in conflict with it. The conditions of mutual trust and tolerance require reason to dominate it. Yet its presence quickly reasserts itself upon the most minor perception of threat.

For your information I am a Capitalistic Peeg...That happens not to like BS...

I take it your perception of BS is similar to how a skunk perceives its own particular aroma.
