it may be true that the majority of americans are ignorant about investing..but so is the average stockbroker..including those i have known at PW..i have been in the busines for 20 years.. and have yet to meet a broker who wasnt after a commission first/customer last..its part of the business..i am seeing more and more savvy people doing their own trading on line..as for those who have always used the ignorant stockbroker..they have in many cases lost or made poor choices from brokerage recommendations...as for our prsidents bill is not alone when screwing up..that also seems to come with the territory..
