I beg to differ jbe. Russia has been fighting the psycology of many international investors that the communists may someday return to power and that communist influence will keep reforms from being implemented. Saturday's impeachment vote shows that the communists are declining in power and that a new era is beginning in Russia. There is a good chance that the new PM could get voted in as early as Wednesday (giving Russia a government again). Once the new PM is in Russia will have a reform minded government and a PM that is not personal friends with Milosovic and Saddam Hussien, like Primakov was. That spells a much more accomodative policy from the west towards Russia, yet another plus.
