Why is AOL is the true internet blue chip? What sets them apart from the other internet players is its significant revenue. It's the only internet that has revenue in the billions, not millions like most others. It's commanding business model includes diverse revenue streams like Internet Access, E-Commerce, Advertising solidifies its financial strength. Last quarter it added about 1.5 million new subscribers and its making significant inroads in the international market. Only question was its broadband strategy. With ATT (another one of my favorite market leading tech stocks and a great buy now) making aggresive moves (Cablevision aquisistion) into the broadband space, pressure was put on AOL to do the same thing. Lobbying the government to force cable providers to let AOL on its infrastructure is not a long term solution. However, I was pleased to see AOL's new moves to make AOL TV more of a reality: dailynews.yahoo.com

As a AOL stockholder and customer, I'm long on the stock and look for the opportunity to buy more during market corrections.
