I strongly feel that DELL will beat the street eps estimate by a wide percentage. I have a very long position in DELL. In the long term I feel confident that DELL will do fine. In the short term, however,it is anybody's guess.

Jim, I think you've nailed it... "Dell is enforcing discipline"
on the analyst community and they seem frustrated and clueless.
You do a lot of homework. More than I can say for some<g>.

Re: Management has considerable control over these fundamentals.

Yes! Like nobody else in the business. Dell processes
thousands of data points daily on how the quarter is progressing.
They have considerable control in dictating the outcome.
Their level of control is likened to a sound technician
sitting behind a console using a flotilla of knobs and faders
to fine tune the mix.
