Hi Bob,

this is an excerpt form ELK's annual report, fresh off the press. Footnote # 8, to be exact.

<<"Commitments & Contingencies

The comp. has a working interest in a well in California that blew out........
Insurance policies are in place to cover the costs of well control, a relief well, a replacement well, pollution and seepage and other third-party claims, up to specified limits. The company believes that these costs will not be materially in excess of the amounts covered by the insurance policies. The Company is not aware of any other claims.">>

Now that doesn't sound so bad, does it?

Bob, that is a "free for all" forum. SI has paying members posting.

I don't trust anyone posting to Bakersfield, who's name I don't recognise.
It may well be that lawsuits are pending (I don't know), but the sharks often circle around large prey. If that were the case, it tells me that there must be something worth quibbling over.

As someone rightly pointed out, when an investor's brain has been starved of real news, the imagination takes over. It's as if we are all in those experimental sensory deprivation chambers and our nightmares are allowed to surface.

Besides, lawsuits can take years to develop, by which time we will all have cashed out our respective fortunes, right!

Wow. Post #2500!!!
Here's hoping that near term ELH activity has us battling to be post #5000 in the next month.

Rick.
