SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH Blaine Harris, president and chief executive officer of Chequemate International, Inc. (NASDAQ OTCBB: CQMT) today announced that the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Chequemate Third Dimension, Inc. (C3D), has signed a contract licensing the marketing and distribution rights in Realeyes 3D for South America, Central America and the Caribbean to Telemedia Latinoamerica S.A. (Caracas, Venezuela). The agreement represents the company's first foray into international markets with its state-of-the-art 3-D technology.

Plans are also underway for an official launch of Realeyes 3D into China and the Pacific Rim at the Singapore Consumer Electronics Show to be held in Singapore on September 24-27, 1997.

Under the terms of the Latin American agreement, Telemedia will serve as an exclusive distributor to 44 countries for an initial period of one year. Production of the system is in full swing and shipments have already begun.

"We look forward to working with Telemedia, and are pleased with the opportunities this agreement affords," said Harris. "Telemedia, through its sales team of seasoned consumer electronics experts, provides Chequemate the means for the rapid market penetration warranted by this exciting new product."

Realeyes 3D is a state-of-the-art technology that enables three-dimensional viewing through an ordinary television set by digitizing the television's analog signal, converting it to 3-D and sending it to an image receiver. This revolutionary product can be connected to any television and is capable of receiving signals from any source, including cable TV, satellite receivers, VCR's, laser disc players and video games.

Telemedia Latinoamerica S.A. is a privately held corporation created solely for the distribution of Realeyes 3D and its related products throughout Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela, Telemedia has recently opened an office in Miami, Fla. to support the large number of Latin American export clients in that area.

Chequemate International, Inc. is an acquisition-oriented holding company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Chequemate emphasizes innovation through advanced technology in the industries of finance, communication and entertainment.
