its tough to dcide which way bonds will go

will bonds go up in a flight to quality
or will they go down as other countries see possible weakness in our dollar secondary to overprinting and a tanking market

yes and note the increase month over month. Note the key sentence below regarding sentiment towards the US stock mky in Japan.....

Nikkei opens lower, hurt by tumble on Wall Street
TOKYO, May 17 (Reuters) - Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei average opened lower on Monday, as a sharp fall in Wall Street stocks on Friday dampened sentiment, traders said.

The fall on Wall Street raised concerns that a long winning trend in U.S. stocks may be over. Shrinking U.S. economic growth would hurt Japanese exporters.

Some said the key Nikkei average could slip to around 16,500 during Monday's session.

At 0011 GMT, the Nikkei 225 average was down 171.14 points or 1.02 percent at 16,639.25.

Nikkei June futures <0#JNI:> were down 190 points at 16,640.

Friday's tumble in U.S. stocks followed a big jump in consumer prices, which heightened fears that the Federal Reserve could raise interest rates. The Dow Jones industrial average (^DJI - news) closed 193.87 points or 1.75 percent lower at 10,913.32.
