Isn't it almost usual for the market to worry about something that hasn't happened rather than something that has ??.

You have a point. This market won't selloff in a day. But I think this market knows that there is inflation looming. The only reason we have not had inflation lately, is because of the SEA meltdown. As they revive, inflation will be back. But I also think that a 1/4 pt tighten will put a serious cap on this market until the economic data can prove it otherwise. (BTW, with the huge CPI increase just past, I think that is could actually be flat to slightly negative next time.) The most vulnerable will be the internets but the DJIA could still rise in spite of it all.
