lame is the word for it. I was referring to these USA Savings Accounts where the government gives matching funds to people to start up their own savings accounts. The Democrats have three competing plans to give funds to people below $ 40,000 in annual income to fund retirement accounts outside SS. By the time, one gets to $ 40,000, it's phase out so that most of the benefit is for below $ 20,000 in income. In any event, it contributes nothing positive to the solvency of SS since it draws money away. Again, it favors people mostly on where they live since most people who live on the coasts or in urban areas will not get anything. The same old redistributionist crap.
