Re: "AMD jacked up the voltage on their K63-400 and K6-3 450 and K6-2 450 and K6-2 475 to 2.4 volts - from 2.2 volts !"

We're all well aware of this Paul. Get over it. I think Yousef's suggestion that "wire cutters" and a "screwdriver" were 100% responsible for AMD's move up to higher speed grades is pretty absurd. I'm sure not even you would be ignorant enough to make that kind of argument--and you're a retiree who's been out of the business for probably a decade.

YOUSEF is 100000% CORRECT !

Paul,

I did not know one can be more than 100% correct. Are you sure you got a PhD? When was the last time you work in a fab? Our process expert/idiot (Yousef) failed to warn you. Process Boy had to tell you that Intel's 0.18um has physical gate length of under 0.15um.

If I heard it correct, physical gate length will be under 0.1 um before the 0.18um process is retired.
